Overview

Grainlight Nature Archive should feel like a quiet field journal translated into a digital photography showcase. The shell stays warm and nearly invisible while the imagery does the emotional work: full-bleed mist, soft grain, distant depth, and a serif that feels patient rather than dramatic.

Image Direction

The image system is load-bearing. Use original landscape photography or photographic-feeling renders with visible grain, soft contrast, weathered light, and calm crops. Mix expansive establishing views with a few intimate natural details, but keep the overall tone hushed and cinematic rather than travel-poster glossy.

Colors

• Use a warm paper neutral for most of the shell.
• Let the imagery carry the richer blues, greens, and ochres.
• Keep action surfaces white and simple so they do not compete with the photography.

Typography

• Use a high-air serif for the largest statements and section titles.
• Use a clean sans for supporting copy, labels, and controls.
• Prefer generous line breaks and open leading over aggressive weight changes.
